Microneedling with PRF

Minimally invasive procedure for facial rejuvenation using the patient’s own platelet rich fibrin (PRF). The skin is punctured with fine needles that’s intended to create tiny injuries to the skin and stimulate skin recovery. The PRF improves the repair and recovery of the skin. After microneedling, the patients can see immediate results within 24 hours.The collage production is initiated right away during the recovery process. Over the next few weeks, the collagen build up will peak and skin will rejuvenate and look and feel plump.

The treatment is then repeated 3-4 months later to enhance the results and increase the collagen. It is recommended that a minimum of 3 treatments are done 3 months apart for optimum results.

What to expect right after the treatment?

The patient may experience some redness and minor swelling for 1-2 days. The redness will subside as the tissue heals. The PRF will enhance the healing process and repair for optimal collagen production and growth.

How long do the results last?

After treatment, drink plenty of water and keep your skin hydrated avoiding alcohol and smoking for 24-48 hours to maintain healthier vibrant looking skin.

Are the results permanent?

The results can last for several months but it is important to understand that the results are not permanent. The skin naturally degrades over time. The treatment has to be repeated yearly to maintain the results.

Is the treatment painful?

Topical numbing cream will be applied to the face for several minutes before treatment. However, most patients feel some discomfort but not pain. Please avoid any excessive cold or heat to the face or treated area for 24 hours after treatment. Patients may also take over the counter pain medication 1 hour before treatment if they are sensitive to needles.
